Social meet and hiking

1 March 2025 – 2 March 2025

Social Meet – Olive Glen Farm is hosting a social day meet get-together for all MCSA members on Olive Glen Farm on Saturday 1 March from 1 pm onwards till late.  Snacks will be provided. Bring your own picnic/braai.  RSVP Avril Powrie. Cell & Whatsapp 082 921 4325 

Hiking – Saturday – Felixberg traverse (3B+) very early start

Felixberg traverse is an incredibly interesting route (also known as the Ken Howes-Howell route) on the Paarl side of Du Toitskloof pass. It has moderate scrambling and a breathtaking knife edge and ledge against the Felixberg cliffs. The plan is to start in Donkerkloof and finish at Olive Glen farm. The route involves exposure to heights, so participants should not be afraid of heights. Contact Albert Cornelissen 082 851 2575 if interested in joining. Hiking – Saturday – Wildepaardjagt kloof (1A-2B)

Family friendly hike up to First waterfall pool. The people with extra energy can join me to go further up the kloof for a bit more technical adventure boulder hopping and light scrambling. Contact Albert Cornelissen 082 851 2575

Hiking – Sunday – Leopard rock (2A-3A)

Hike up to Leopard rock. For those interested we can summit Middagberg to the left or Klein-Drakensteinkop to the right of Leopard rock. Contact Albert Cornelissen 082 851 2575

Camping  28 Feb to 2 March – Olive Glen Farm

There is camping available on Olive Glen farm for those who wish to overnight for the weekend. Contact Avril Powrie 082 921 4325
