Olive Glen Mountain Farm

Spend a day on the Olive Glen farm with hiking, swimming or just relaxing. There are two hiking routes that can be done. The entrance fee for parking, hiking and toilet facilities is R 50 per adult, children free. Avril & Bruce Powrie will meet you on the farm with instructions and maps. Hikes are easy to navigate and are self-guided:
Wildepaardejagt Kloof – Blue Route (1A)
Morning hike, 2 – 3 hours, with pools on route, suitable for children aged 6 and up. 4 km there and back, 100 m ascent.
Leopard Rock on the saddle – Yellow route (2A)
Three-quarter day hike, 4 – 5 hours, suitable for children 12 and up. 6 km there and back, 400 m ascent.

The club uses a grading system (given in brackets after the hike name) to make it easier for club members to communicate the difficultly of an outing.
