DESCRIPTION:MCSA Paarl-Wellington is excited to invite you to Spring Camp 2020 hosted in the Hawequas (meaning “Man in the Mountain”) mountains during the long weekend of 23-27 September.  \n\n\n\nBase camp will be set up at the Hawequas Scouts Adventure Centre. The Paarl/Wellington area is known for its heritage and various cultural walks are planned. Various family-friendly hikes (see below) will start from the Adventure Centre and for the more adventurous we’ll link up with other trails. \n\n\n\nEvery evening we will get together for a bring and braai and share the experiences of the day\, followed by a briefing on the following day’s hikes. On the last evening we will conclude with a spit braai to celebrate the epic adventures of Spring Camp. \n\n\n\nThe Adventure Centre is fully compliant with COVID protocols and participants can choose either camping or dorm accommodation with (spaced) bunks. SUMMARY:Cascades - Du Toitskloof (3C)
DESCRIPTION:Cascades is a classic C grade scramble\, and a pleasant summer route with scenic rock pools and waterfalls. The route follows a series of cascading waterfalls up the northern side of Du Toitskloof ending at our section’s Kromrivier hut. The route offers lots of swimming\, none mandatory. Please note that the route is steep\, off-path on difficult terrain and has one or two moderately difficult  scrambling sections – a head for heights is needed.
